Dog Feeder Product Design

Dog feeder product design is one of the simpler design exercises of any product design studio. However, due to intense competition in the pet feeder market, customers do looks for newer features. One of the stunning feature which our product design agency was asked to incorporate is “water tight container”. Water tight containers are used by customers to keep the left over food in the refrigerator for feed their pets at a later stage, of course after re-heating them using the microwave. Following is a quick product design case study of this project.

Our design team started with incubating themselves with understand the market landscape.

This was followed by a design thinking session to identify possible opportunities.

Basic engineering directions were figured out and preferred directions short listed.

The design team went ahead with ideation and further refinement of details.

Now, came the time present the details to the customer to get the final feedback.

The design features were locked and the design team is now ready to get into the CAD detailing. The new dog feeder design will be (1) Microwave safe (2) Water tight (3) Refrigerator friendly

Gold standard in the industry were benchmarked to ensure the features are fail proof and high on functional performance.

Photorealistic renderings were done and the CAD data was moved our manufacturing partners.
