Tricycle Cart Design

Tricycle Cart Design

As we set out to design the tricycle cart, eco system were it would be deployed became our prime challenge.  Extreme outdoor conditions demanded robust design while thorough material selection that could withstand natural and man made destructions became imperative. This ice cream cart design had to be super simple in order to be fabricated using local technology so that the product cost can be considerably lowered. The aesthetics needed to connect with people there by communicating the vision of the brand and help create high recall value.  Below case study shows the adventurous design process that happened during the tricycle cart design exercise.

Our food cart design team studied existing products and scenarios of use to understand the past learnings.

Insights were derived and the team headed for the concept development.

Our concept direction didn’t go well with the client. We needed to add a lot of fun and playfulness in the design to  cater to the “young at heart” buyers. The company wanted to stay young and was trying to reposition the brand.
